Flags Uprooted: Gaza Exhibition Disturbed Again (Cornell Sun)
The debate over the current Gaza conflict is everywhere. I am disappointed at the cruelty and lack of compassion in those on campus who chose to violate the exhibition. A significant proportion of those flags mourn innocent Palestinians who are trapped in conditions many around the world compare to concentration camps. Further, whether your world-view considers the Hamas fighters heroes or terrorists, surely it is always appropriate to mourn loss of life and the presence of such hatred in the world?
I don’t comment on the conflict in general - it is far removed from me and I am still reading up on it - but I do know those disturbing the exhibit are in the wrong.
