okay seriously useful. because one of the very few things android hasn’t done better than apple since the beginning is an easy on-device way of taking screenshots.

enable usb debugging (settings->applications->development)
connect device to computer
run the tools/ddms tool in the android SDK folder
screen capture application launches!

now you can save images of stuff running on your phone. w00t.

“Two researchers at the University of Virginia and four at Microsoft Research explored this possibility in a paper presented this year at the Usenix Workshop on Hot Topics in Cloud Computing. The paper looks at how the servers — though still operated by their companies — could be placed inside homes and used as a source of heat. The authors call the concept the “data furnace.””
